Custom Growth Plan ● JB Benefits Consulting ● 2027 renewal season

Turn paid media into qualified conversations that become clients

You have a fiduciary story few advisors can tell, and a free 15-minute first step. This plan puts it in front of CFOs, HR leaders and CEOs at 1,000+ employee employers and closes three gaps in order: counting the booked call, reaching the right buyers, and a page built to book it.

Where you stand
Day one

Where you're trying to go

Where You Stand

Your offer is clear and your story is rare. What's missing is a way to count, credit and grow the booked calls it earns.

What's working: the pieces we build on.

You already have the hard parts: a model that works only for the employer, a free first step a buyer can say yes to, a clear buyer in three named bands, and 32 years of proof. Every ad and page in this plan is built on them.

Your modelYou take zero compensation from any carrier, PBM or TPA, so you work only for the employer.Sets up: the CEO row of the ad test: an advisor who works for you, with ICP + JTBD Specificity.
Your offerA free 15-minute fit call, then a free comparison in about 21 days.Sets up: an ask every ad can make, matched to how warm the viewer is, with PPC Temperature CTA Matching.
Your buyerA clear buyer in three named bands: 1,000 to 5,000, 5,000 to 10,000, and 10,000+ employees.Sets up: campaigns split by company size, with The Whale Tax.
Your proof32 years inside the carrier and brokerage system, and your book, Health Insurance Sucks.Sets up: proof for every ad and page, drawn on with Warchest of Ads.
Your pageYour headline asks a board-level question in the buyer's terms: "If healthcare were a separate division of your firm, would you accept today's controls?"Sets up: the CFO row of the ad test, in your own words.
Your timingBy your count, about 80 to 85% of large employers renew on January 1, which makes now the time to book meetings for mid-January to March.Sets up: a 2027 renewal angle across the ads while the window is open.

Your site, jbconsulting.biz, read October 30, 2026. Renewal timing: your words on our October 26 call.

What's not working, group by group.

The gaps sit between a buyer's click and a booked call you can count. No ad platform, Google Analytics or Tag Manager tag loads on your page, so a booked call can't be credited to an ad. The booking happens on a separate page, under your Revival Health name. And the page makes one ask of every buyer, with no proof beside it yet. Each fix makes the next one pay more, which is why the plan runs them in this order.

Each group's findings run in order of what holds back booked fit calls most. jbconsulting.biz and its booking page, October 30, 2026.

Measurement

1No ad platform, Google Analytics or Tag Manager tag loads on your page, so a booked call can't be counted or credited to an ad.

The Foundation Plan
0
ad platform tags load: Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta or Microsoft
0
Google Analytics or Tag Manager tags load
2
scripts that do load: Cloudflare Web Analytics and the page builder's own

jbconsulting.biz in a live browser, October 30, 2026: every script that loaded, checked against the page source.

Why it matters
  • Without a tag, Google and LinkedIn can't see which clicks become booked calls, so they can only learn from clicks.
  • The booking itself happens on a separate scheduling page, so counting a booked call takes a step on your page and a step there.
  • It's the first move in the plan: one booked-call conversion, checked end to end before any budget runs.

2Every "Arrange a Conversation" button opens a separate booking page, under your Revival Health name.

Your page says
The booking page says

Zoom Meeting, 15 min

jbconsulting.biz and the Calendly page its 3 "Arrange a Conversation" buttons open, October 30, 2026, with Calendly's own event details.

What it means
  • A CFO who clicked on JB Benefits Consulting picks a time under a different brand's name.
  • The booking asks one question: "Please share anything that will help prepare for our meeting." Nothing yet tells you company size or role before the call.
  • Both are quick fixes, on the CRO tab.

3Proof is the next thing your page needs: no client results, names or testimonials yet.

1
line of proof today: "Want proof? Give us 21 days."

jbconsulting.biz, read October 30, 2026.

Why it matters
  • A CFO weighing an outside advisor looks for an employer like theirs that did it first.
  • Until a client agrees to be named, your book and your 32 years carry the proof.

4One page for every buyer: the CFO, the HR leader and the CEO get the same message.

Better benefits, less work for HR
CEO
An advisor who works only for the company

jbconsulting.biz, October 30, 2026. Buyers and benefits from your own "Who We Serve," services and about sections.

What it means
  • Today the page opens on the board-level question, which speaks to the CFO first.
  • A dedicated page lets each ad land on the first screen its reader needs. The CRO tab tests it.

5One way in: a buyer not ready to pick a time has no other way to raise a hand.

3
"Arrange a Conversation" buttons, all to the same booking page
0
forms, phone numbers or email addresses on the page

jbconsulting.biz page source, October 30, 2026.

Why it matters
  • Some buyers want to ask a question or share their renewal date before they book.
  • A second, lighter ask, like a free plan comparison, is one of the first tests on the CRO tab.

Where The Growth Is

Two ways in: the buyers already searching for what you do, and the decision makers at about 10,600 employers in your bands.

About 11,500 searches a month from people looking for what you do.

Small and high intent. Each of these searches is someone looking for a benefits consultant or a better way to fund a plan. The 4 Conversion Intent Buckets puts the transactional, ready-to-act searches first.

Left out on purpose: "small business health insurance" (5,300 a month) and "business health insurance" (2,600). They bring the wrong buyer, so they stay out of the plan, along with searches about jobs and individual plans.

Third-party keyword data, US, 12-month average monthly searches, pulled October 30, 2026. Each lane's total is the sum of its 20 terms.

of Paid Search, fee and suggested ad spend, covered by one client at the low end
Arithmetic: $100,000 ÷ $5,000 a month
One client at the low end of your range covers almost a year of the LinkedIn plan, fee and suggested ad spend together. That's the math on your side, not a forecast: how many fit calls it takes to win a client is something we learn together in the first months.

The renewal window is open now.

By your count, about 80 to 85% of large employers renew on January 1.

That makes now the time to book meetings for mid-January to March, and every ad carries a 2027 renewal angle while the window is open.

Your words on our October 26 call.

Paid Media + Creative

LinkedIn or Google, built around booked fit calls, with new creative every month from the team that runs the ads.

The plan in one minute.

Count the booked call, put your story in front of the right buyers, and give every ad one job and one ask. LinkedIn + Creative runs moves 1, 2 and 4. Paid Search runs moves 1 and 3.

1

Count the booked call.

One booked fit call as the conversion every campaign learns from, checked end to end before launch.

How each move works.

1

Count the booked call.

What we do
The Foundation Plan sets one primary conversion, a booked fit call, and checks that it records in each ad platform before any budget runs.
What changes in the account
Bidding learns from booked calls, not clicks.
How you'll see it
Booked fit calls by campaign and by ad, on every reporting call.
More on this move
  • How your booking gets tracked, across your page and the booking page, is confirmed with you before launch.
  • Once fit calls turn into qualified conversations and clients, offline conversion tracking can send that back, so the platforms learn which calls became pipeline. It comes once there's pipeline to send.
2

Reach decision makers on LinkedIn.

What we do
The Whale Tax splits campaigns by company size, 1,000 to 5,000 and 5,000+, so the largest employers don't take all the delivery. The Reach Ratio™ sizes the budget around how often each person sees you over a buying cycle. Site visitors get their own retargeting with the fit call offer.
What changes in the account
Campaigns reach CFOs, HR and benefits leaders, and CEOs by job title, function and seniority at employers in your bands.
How you'll see it
Reach by band, booked calls by title and band, and cost per booked call.
More on this move
  • LinkedIn's own forecast for your bands and titles sets the audience size and costs at the start.
  • Thought Leader Ads from your profile and a document ad from your book are growth levers on the Investment tab.
3

Show up when they search.

What we do
The 4 Conversion Intent Buckets groups the account so transactional searches, like "employee benefits consultant," get dedicated budget ahead of informational ones. SKAGs vs STAGs isolates the top terms, which lead into All-Star Campaigns with protected budget. The Ultimate Search Ad Copy Formula writes ads that say who it's for, so small employers and employees asking about their own plan skip the click.
What changes in the account
Consultant and self-funded searches run with tight negatives for small business, jobs and individual plans.
How you'll see it
Search terms, booked calls by term, and cost per booked call.
More on this move
  • N-Gram Refinement trims wasted terms as search data builds up.
  • Search volume in your space is small and high intent, so it runs as its own plan or alongside LinkedIn.
4

Give every ad one buyer's job and one ask.

What we do
ICP + JTBD Specificity builds each ad on one buyer's job: the CFO's cost and controls, the HR leader's benefits and workload, the CEO's need for an advisor who works only for the company. The Performance Creative Escalator starts with the offer, the free fit call, and tests how it's asked. Surround Sound Creative™ builds every ad in each format and size the platforms run.
What changes in the account
Every ad asks for the free 15-minute fit call, worded a few ways, and the winners get the budget.
How you'll see it
Click rate and booked calls by job, by ask and by format.
More on this move
  • Warchest of Ads draws angles from your proof: the book, your 32 years and zero carrier money.
  • Every claim in an ad comes from you and gets your OK before it runs.

New ads built on each buyer's job: one ask, the 15-minute fit call.

Mockup concepts
Three jobs, tested side by sideICP + JTBD Specificity

These are mockup concepts, here to show what different types of ads could look like. Everything in them gets tested: the message, the job to be done, the call to action and the offer. Every ad asks for one thing: the free 15-minute fit call. Each row is one buyer’s job, run for both company-size bands in every format, and the wording of the ask changes across the set, so we learn which job and which ask book the most qualified calls.

Mockup concepts only. Every message, job, call to action and offer here is a starting point for testing, and final ads go through your review. Most lines come from your own site. LinkedIn’s button comes from a fixed list, so the ask lives in the image and the headline, with the nearest button LinkedIn offers.

What progress looks like.

1Build the foundationThe booked call counted end to end, campaigns built around your buyers and bands, and the first ads live.
2Test what worksAds split-tested by buyer job and ask, with bands, titles or search terms read side by side.
3Learn what's qualifiedAs the first fit calls come in, you tell us which were qualified, and we steer toward more like them.
4Scale toward clientsMore budget behind what books qualified calls, less behind what doesn't. Once there's pipeline to send back, the platforms learn from it too.

CRO

The multiplier. Once the right buyers click, the page decides how many book the call.

CRO is a growth lever: more booked calls from the same ad spend.

Paid media decides who arrives. CRO decides how many of them book. When more of the right visitors book a fit call, each call costs less, the same budget books more of them, and there's Room to Grow the budget inside your goals.

We build the page around one primary action, a booked fit call, then A/B test the page and the ask. Our base CRO package fits where you are: a new advertiser with no paid traffic yet, so one page and smart testing come before anything bigger.

3The first screen for each job

On-Site CRO Testing CRO Leading Indicators Each test reads early signals first, like button taps and booking starts, because booked calls come in slowly at first. Each test runs to a set minimum before we call it.

Quick wins we recommend, on any plan.

  • The booking page named JB Benefits Consulting, and the call titled as your free 15-minute fit call.
  • Two or three qualifying questions in the booking step, like company size and role, so you know who's coming.
  • Tracking tags on every ad's link, carried into the booking, so each call traces back to its campaign.
  • A named client result near the first ask, once a client agrees to it.
  • Your book next to the first ask, as proof.

Three ways to start, priced plainly: what you pay up front, each month, and in suggested ad spend.

Pick where to start. We recommend LinkedIn + Creative.

  • LinkedIn management on the moves in this plan
  • Performance Creative, Tier 1 (below), included
  • Campaigns split by company size, plus site retargeting
  • Reporting dashboard and Growth Grid reviews
Monthly$3,500 a month

About $5,000 a month in suggested LinkedIn ad spend, separate from the fee.

  • One dedicated landing page
  • Smart testing on the page and the ask
  • The booking step and your proof built into the page
With LinkedIn + Creative$4,500 a month
With Paid Search$3,000 a month

We recommend LinkedIn + Creative because it puts your story in front of the decision makers at employers in your bands, where you expect your buyers to be. Paid Search is the lighter start: a small number of searches, all high intent. CRO adds to either one.

Management is the greater of the flat monthly fee or 10% of monthly ad spend, never both. At the suggested ad spend, that's the flat fee. No setup fee.

No game of telephone: you talk to the people doing the work.

Your Growth Grid

A chart of your goals against time, reviewed on every performance call.

The first goal is set together after 30 days live, on qualified fit calls booked, then each quarter. Each goal hit unlocks the next budget step or channel.

Illustrative Growth Grid: goal progress (KPI %) tracked against time elapsed (Time %) across a quarter, with notes on KPI % vs Time %, True Performance, and Goals Hit = Time To Scale
Illustrative example of a Growth Grid. Yours tracks the goals we set together.

How we talk.

  • A dedicated reporting dashboard
  • A dedicated Slack channel
  • Email replies within 24 to 48 hours
  • A dedicated internal project, so launches stay on time
  • Calls frequent while we build and launch, then regular reporting calls
Next step

Pick the starting plan. We send the agreement in writing, and our team schedules the kickoff once it's signed.
